How to Find New Twitter Followers using Twitter Search

Today, I’ve put together this short tutorial on how to effectively use Twitters very own search to find potential new followers for your Twitter account.

Twitters Search Engine is a very powerful tool, it allows you to search for keywords and tweet with real time results. Using Twitter search can be a great way to find Twitter followers in your same topic or niche. All results are displayed in real-time, the search results update after a min or two automatically.

Step 1: Go to Twitter Search

Twitter search, can be found at search.twitter.com. Once you arrive, you’ll be presented with this screen. You can type in any search query you like into the search box, just like Google. Just click the search button below, once your ready to search.

You’ll notice immediately the trending topics, each of these links can be clicked on to delve deeper into the real time results for that trending topic. For example, we could explore the trending topic of ‘Hasselhoff’ by clicking the blue link Hasselhoff.

The Trending topics are a great way to delve into a engaged conversation around a particular topic, news story, event or celebrity  gossip.
